SCSC2003 Student Workshop Best Student Paper Competition

    • The SCSC2003 Student Workshop was very successful with three full sessions of paper presentations selected through a process including reviews from three International Program Committee (IPC) member. All the accepted papers were included in SCSC2003 CD-Proceedings, but are keep separate from SCSC2003 hardcopy proceedings.
    The SCSC2003 Student Workshop enabled students to attend the workshop and get a SCSC2003 CD copy including the whole Conference Proceedings as well as the possibility to compete for the "Best SCSC2003 Student Paper Award" (including a cheque of 1'500 USD for the winner provided by The AEgis Technologies) with the very special registration fee (55USD).

    The "Best SCSC2003 Student Paper" was selected through a multi layer process where the high quality of the submissions and presentation proposed quite a challenge in order to make a selection. The selection process included: Liophant awarding John Nicol Director of AEgis Simulation Technologies for sponsoring the Winning Award of SCSC2003 Student Workshop Peter Kropf, Chair of SCSC Student Workshop, operated as Ceremony Master during the SummerSim03 Exhibition Reception and awarded the Recognition Certificates and prizes provided by SCS International to the best Student Papers.
    During the event,  William F. Waite, President of AEgis Technologies as great supporter of this Initiative was activily involved. John Nicol, Director of AEgis Simulation Technologies Ottawa, Canada (subsidiary of the The AEgis Technologies Group Inc.) provided its sponsorization as 1'500 USD cheque award to the Best Student Paper Author.
    Liophant Simulation Club awarded AEgis Simulation Technologies for its support to young people to become part of simulation community as a key issue for promoting Modelling & Simulation.
